¹Hubspot’s Marketing Hub Starter plan starts at $50/mo for 1,000 contacts compared to Mailchimp’s Standard plan, which starts at $14.99/mo for 500 contacts. For up to 25,000 contacts, you’d pay $230/mo on Mailchimp’s Standard plan versus $870/mo with Hubspot’s Marketing Hub Starter plan. ²Comparison is based on GoDaddy’s Website + Marketing plan features for CRM, automation, and reporting capabilities as compared to features offered in Mailchimp’s Standard plan. For example, Mailchimp’s Standard plan includes several audience management & segmentation tools, behavioral and predictive insights, and multi-channel marketing campaign performance reports. GoDaddy’s Website + Marketing plan currently does not offer those features.
³The Basic Shopify plan offers customer information storage and segmentation capabilities; however, Mailchimp’s Standard plan offers additional audience management features such as insights and analytics. Mailchimp also offers these marketing and reporting tools that Shopify doesn’t offer at the Basic Shopify plan level: marketing calendar, surveys, direct mail, unlimited landing pages, multi-channel marketing campaign performance reports, detailed revenue and ROI tracking reports for customers with a connected store.
⁴Mailchimp’s Standard plan, but not Squarespace’s Business + Core plan, offer the following tools for reaching and engaging with audiences: setting up automations based on segments, tags, and events, at a glance audience dashboard, interactive audience analytics with behavioral insights and predictive demographics, and marketing calendar functionality.
⁵With Mailchimp’s Standard plan compared to Constant Contact’s Email plan, you get access to more automation options such as behavior-based automations, product retargeting & product recommendations compared to the ability to personalize some auto responder emails. While both Mailchimp and Constant Contact both offer email marketing, websites, digital ad services, social ads and posting at these plan levels, with Mailchimp you also get custom branding at the Standard plan level, the ability to publish websites through a Mailchimp domain name for no additional fees, purchase custom domains, create unlimited landing pages with a Mailchimp domain, and access to transactional emails (additional charges apply). Mailchimp also offers multi-channel marketing campaign performance, Click map, and ROI reporting across marketing channels (for users with a connect store); whereas Constant Contact provides interaction tracking, interaction reporting, and subscriber update reporting. Lastly Mailchimp’s Standard plan costs $14.99 per month for up to 500 contacts compared to Constant Contact’s Email plan price of $20 per month for 500 contacts. If you compare Mailchimp’s Standard plan cost for up to 15,000 contacts, it is $170 per month; whereas at this contact level, Constant Contact offers pricing at the Email Plus plan level for $195 per month. For pricing between 500 contacts and 10,000 contacts, Mailchimp’s Standard Plan price is between Constant Contact’s “Email plan” price and “Email Plus plan” price. For above 15,000 contacts, Mailchimp’s Standard Plan is generally more affordable than Constant Contact’s Email Plus plan.
⁶Klaviyo costs about 1.4x more than Mailchimp when comparing Mailchimp’s Standard Plan to Klaviyo’s Email plan for 10,000 or more contacts. Klaviyo offers 103+ integrations compared to Mailchimp Standard Plan, which offers 250+ integrations. Mailchimp and Klaviyo both offer Email marketing. However, of the two only Klaviyo offers SMS and only Mailchimp offers social media posts, social media ads, google remarketing ads, postcards, and websites.
