Manage Your Mailchimp Store Settings

As you grow your business, you may need to change your business address, shipping charges, or review other details related to your online store. You can update this information in your store settings.

In this article, you’ll learn how to manage your store settings in Mailchimp.

Before you start

• Be sure you’re familiar with how Mailchimp stores work. To learn more, check out About Your Store in Mailchimp.
• This feature requires Stripe to process payments. To help you get started, take a moment to learn how to Connect or Disconnect Stripe.
• Publishing a store or website on a custom domain requires a paid Websites & Commerce plan. To find out what features are included in each plan, check out our pricing page.
• At this time, Mailchimp stores are available only to users with businesses based in the United States or the United Kingdom making domestic sales and shipments.

Access your store settings

You’ll access your store settings through your website dashboard. There, you can review or update your contact information, business address, payment processor, shipping options, tax information, and order notifications.

To access your store settings, follow these steps.

1. Click the Website icon.
   
2. On the website dashboard, click Settings.
   
3. Click Store Settings.
   

This will take you to the Store Settings page, where you’ll choose which information to review or edit.

Edit contact information and business address

To update your business's address and your contact information, follow these steps.

1. On the Store Settings page, click Store Info.
   

2. In the Business Address section, click Edit.

3. Enter changes to your physical business address as needed.

4. When you're done, click Save.

5. In the Contact Information section, click Edit.

6. Enter changes to the email address you want to list as the point of contact for your store, and add or update a phone number as needed. Email addresses are required, but the phone number is optional.

7. When you're done, click Save.

Review payment processor

To add Stripe to your store or review your integration's connection status, follow these steps.

1. On the Store Settings page, click Payments.
   

2. If your store isn't connected yet, click Connect to Stripe and complete the onboarding process.
   

3. If you have already successfully connected Mailchimp to Stripe, click View Stripe Reports to access your reports in the Stripe app.
   

If you'd like to disconnect your current Stripe store from Mailchimp permanently, you'll need to manage your connection from the Manage Integrations page in your account. Check out our article on connecting and disconnecting Stripe to learn more.

Edit shipping options

To change your shipping options and rates, and review your eligible shipping regions, navigate to the Store Settings page and click Shipping.

On the Shipping page, you can set flat rates for up to 3 shipping options: Standard, Expedited, and Rush. You can add or edit any shipping type by clicking on the option you want to change.

To remove expedited or rush shipping, hover over the option and click the trash can icon. If you want to provide a free shipping option, change your Standard shipping rate to 0.

When you're done making changes to a shipping rate, click Save.

Delete a shipping option

To remove a rush or expedited shipping rate, follow these steps.

1. Hover your cursor over the rate option and click the Trash icon.
   

2. The Are you sure? pop-up, type DELETE and click Delete Shipping Option.
   

That's it! The shipping option will no longer appear to your customers during checkout.

Review tax information

To check your tax collection status and other tax-related information, follow these steps.

1. On the Store Settings page, click Taxes.
   

2. Click Preview Business Address to review the business address used to assess taxes collected by your store.
   
   If you wish to change the address, click the Store Info link displayed with your address.

Depending on your business address, you'll also see the base tax rate assessed for your location.

Add Value Added Tax

If you have a store based in the UK, you'll have the option to enable Value Added Tax (VAT).

To add the VAT to your store, follow these steps.

1. On the Store Settings page, click Taxes.

2. Click Preview Business Address.
   

3. Click the Edit Icon.
   

4. Enter your VAT number and click Save.
   

5. Toggle the slider to the checkmark.
   

That's it! This will identify 20% of your product price as collected tax, and list your VAT number on your customers' order notifications.

Review order notification emails

When a customer buys something from your store, we'll send them an order confirmation email to confirm their purchase. After you mark an order as shipped, we'll send a follow-up shipping notification email to let your customer know their order is on the way.

To review the emails we send to your customers from your Mailchimp store, follow these steps.

1. On the Store Settings page, click Order notification emails.
   

2. Hover your cursor over the email preview for either Order confirmation or Shipping confirmation and click Preview Email.
   

3. Click the Desktop icon or the Mobile icon to toggle between previews of the email for different devices.
   

4. When you're done, click Exit Preview.
